The Lutheran Central Archives are the most extensive collections of Lutheran church history in Hungary. Their most precious treasure is the Last Will of Martin Luther dating back to 1542. The archives were founded in 1812 and have been located in the Üllői Street Centre since 1908. Documents include scripts of church administration (that of the synod, the church districts and the deaneries), schools (theological academies, Fasor and Deák square grammar schools), Lutheran organizations and institutions (Diacony Phoebe, Protestant Orphanage, Luther Association), bequests and personal documents. Collections: documents of church visitations, biographies of pastors, architectural plans, photo collections, obituaries.
